Can anyone please advise the importance of PR of a page where an putbound link to our site is situated. We have a number of links into our site and some have a zero or low PR but the home page has a good PR. Should we still accept links from sites where link page is low or zero PR and home page is high or OK Many thanks in advance for any advice
What do you mean by accepting? If its free then any link will help. When it comes to PR. Visual PR updates every blue moon. For example i have a PR8 homepage (page a). I create a new page (page b). I then link from page a to page b. As soon as Google realises what has happened page b will gain PR. So now page b is PR7 (For example). The toolbar will still show PR0. So just use common sense. I personally tend to go for related backlinks. I don't really care much about PR.
if your site is place in a page of 5 Pr and the page has 50 outgoing links then it is a good for ur site to get some percentage of pr for ur site.
Thanks for your responses As an example one of my suppliers has a hoome page PR of 5 but the page where he has put a link to our site does not have a PR. Is this still a good link and what impact would it have for our PR. Cheers
