I have seen a lot of site owners going gaga over their site's PR. And so it made me wonder... just how important a PR is for a website? Is it really a basis in buying a site or exchanging links? Please enlighten me on this. Thank you.
A site that has a higher PR has more value. The ability to rank high for lower competitive, long tail keywords is greater as well.
PR used to be more important, but now is it losing importance. People have now found ways to scam the PR system. So forget about PR and just concentrate on things like search engine rankings and traffic.
Suppose if you have a E-commerce site and your site PR-5, but everyday traffic/visitor came on you site only 1000 and same you have another site which PR-1 and everyday you got 2000 Visitors which is better for your business? So forget about PR.
PR doesn't bring direct traffic,it effects ranking and traffic indirectly. If PR is higher, ranking have better priority.
There's no magic: your site's PageRank has nothing to do with your positions on G and much to do with positions of sites you're linking to So care only about PR of sites that link to you, not your own. Of course, PR is important when you are into link selling, direct advertising on your site, etc.
importance of page rank becomes a top priority so that you can get free traffic and thus make money online. Page rank is extremely important, In that it determines how high you get on search engine results. And just as it's helpful to have your incoming links be from reputable, trusted, relevant sites, your outbound links will also be more valuable to those pages you do link out to. The higher your page ranking, the more desirable a link from your page will be to others - Including those willing to pay for said link. Page rank is a very real and vital aspect of web development that should always be kept in mind. Without it, your chance of being found easily on search engines is compromised. With it, you'll be on your way to a highly successful website.
PR is a factor that Google gives to any site according to it's value. But for getting SERP and traffic IMO PR does not matter. Without high PR you can see many sites coming on first page of Google results. High PR is good thing for any site but PR is not every thing.
Everyone here seems to say something different PR seems to be everything if you have competition for keywords.
High PR is subjected to get good position on SERP and this position gives more traffic. So PR is very important
If your site has a high PR your site will appear in top in a search. High PR guarantee the constancy of your site's ranking.
if your site has no PR your site has No value regarding Google if your site gain some Good PR (Because of your Good Link Popularity) you site got much credit regarding visitor and Search Engine like Google. So N/A PR is Factor that affect your site.
Hi All, I'm reasonably new at all this, and I find it a little confusing. Can anybody please tell me if I've got this right: Google (as an example) rank your page according to rules that only they know, where they come up with a figure based on your judicious use of keywords, as well as the number and quality of inbound links to your page. When someone searches on a keyword, all the sites that relate to that keyword are displayed in order of the page ranking, which therefore determines the site ranking. Have I understood correctly? Thanks Dave B.
Getting high page ranks ensures quality .. quality of your website, quality of your services , quality of your back links.
