Importance of keywords in domain name?

    If having a simple, easy to remember domain is not a good option, then go with the keyword rich domain name.

    Domain, page title, and the first 100 + or - characters of the page are the most important.

    I'll be honest here - I have some sites with a keyphrase in the domain and some without and they all perform about the same. I like to use a neutral sounding word that isn't a keyphrase for sites that I plan to sell lots of different things on - where I'm not just going after one niche. As long as I go through the usual process of adding content, updating and pinging my feed, and getting backlinks the traffic and sales remain the same for me. Both strategies work - keyphrase and no keyphrase in the title.
