    Hi!

For a website I am working on - http://www.kidsintraffic.com - the selected wordpress theme does not add any meta description or keyword tags. Are these important or can I just leave them out? Will they impact findability of the website?

The keyword tag isn't used by the major search engines, so you won't miss it.
The description tag though - it doesn't affect the ranking in search engines, but it is where the snippet is generated from - the couple of lines of text under the title of a listing that gives the searcher an idea of what the page is about. It can really influence the click through rate of an organic listing, so I really would recommend you try and find some way of adding it.

In terms of SEO nowadays, it doesn't matter whether you add meta description or keywords. But a nice compact meta description when showed in search results, will be helpful to the user to find what the site is all about :)
