Whilst google images is not that important for many webmaster, for my niche, i think it probably is: "African grey parrot" search in google As you can see, google images pop up every time! I reckon quite a few visitors are clicking on these so I want to get some images up there. Incidently my site comes fourth: www.theafricangreyparrot.com and it doesnt get very much traffic! It's the same deal for a search on "grey parrot". So i've got to get some images up there! Ok people, let gather our resources and get some ideas for a "google image strategy" Obviously the importance of alt tags is clear, but what other things could be done. Im thinking about creating a page "african grey parrot" pics and just filling it up with 10 pics or so. What things should I do to this page? Ideas here please! Thanks in advance for the ideas you are about to produce from your highly refined pysche's! Notting
I noticed A LOT more references from google images this christmas. People who want to ship my pictures, instead of by reading. I think the importance of ranking there will be larger every month.
get over yourself, there is VERY little, if NO money with displaying your images with Google. Do you not read articles? no offense, but Google images is nothing but rape to your site, but good luck to you. I could write a novel here but it's Christmas.
I don't like google images that much. from my experience it's no that accurate. as for now, I don't see much point investing much energy into it. better invest yourself in promoting your regular website listing.
I have a few thousand pageviews from google images every month and I find the traffic doesn't convert very well, if not at all.
