i have the chance to buy a really good domain name. However the ending is .gs The domain name is one word and if it was a .com would likely be worth hundreds of thousands. Anyhow is the .gs that important?
Just saw it in the appraisal forum...amazing keyword, but I've never even heard of .gs Sorry, I don't see much value in it unless .gs becomes more well-known.
i dont know what .gs stands for...but my suggestion is...since you have decided to go for development...then go ahead and buy it....since you are adding value to your website, the value of domain will automatically increase alongwith it... but on the other hand, if you think of reselling it...then u may have to think twice.. al the best...
It is to the South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands because it is their Top Level Domain (TLD). Google indexes about 482,000 .gs domains, take a look at them and see what kind of company you would be keeping. - Michael
According to the CIA Fact Book, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands have "...large bird and seal populations, but no indigenous inhabitants". Do you know of any seals that use internet? So frankly, I don’t even know what ICANN was thinking about setting aside the .gs domain (well, probably $$)
Obscure tlds like .gs are best used as word endings. Something like pi.gs or fi.gs (although those ones are too short to register, I think). Sin.gs would be good, and fairly memorable. Otherwise you will be struggling to get people to remember what your domain is, and they'll be typing in the wrong address.
