    Hello,

i am thinking about importing my community form vbulletin4 to ipboard but as i read on some sites ipboard is not so professionnal as vbulletin !

what are the risks if i do this upgrade ? trafic go down for example ? .. ?

IP.Board and vBulletin are both professional forum scripts.
There is a converter that will allow you to transfer the data, you'll have to ask the guys at ipb about the 301 rewrites for the vbseo url's.

I 'd contacted IPB team and they telled me that they can redirect vbseo with 301 as you sayed,

the probleme is that i am not sure if ipb will handle my forum, for that will put the IPB forum @ /forumS folder instead of /forum (old vbulletin), i will do all redirection and disable the vb forum. If the IPBoard goes well i let it, else i will delete all redirection et re-activate the vb forum again !

Good luck. Personally I never converted a forum but know how tough the redirection might get.

On my case, it took around 6 months to recover after changing from an old domain to the current domain of my community.
