I live in the U.K and recently bought a lot of make up from the U.S and with no problem or charges. The second time for a parcel costing $1,000 I have been charged $220 in taxes, duties etc.... I am pretty new to importing things so is this about right? Also why did I pay nothing on the first about a month before and then on the second. I need to know as its not going to be worth it.
