Guys, I have a super site and am indexing all the sub pages. The sub page has been indexed and link building has commenced and I am in position 69 in Yahoo for a term with over 3 mil results in Yahoo for a new site, however nowhere in Google..... The page is indexed, and I was wondering whether optimising the home page will bring up my ranking at all? If so what is the reason for this? I have a sitemap and just didnt want to optimise the home page.
You should be looking to optimise your whole site. think about content, meta data, H tags and backlinks. You will usually find you will rank in Yahoo earlier than google simply because Yahoo's algorythm is less complex than google's so easier to manipulate.
