EditorMonkey for WordPress 2.0 supercharges the built-in rich editor with the latest version of TinyMCE. EditorMonkey also provides an easier way to configure the built-in rich editor and can replace the comment editing area with a WYSIWYG editing area. EditorMonkey includes TinyMCE, which supports every browser that matters–like Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Konqueror–and even those that don't–like Safari. FCKeditor is supported in EditorMonkey versions prior to EM v3.0. The best reason to use EditorMonkey? You can configure nearly everything from within the WordPress interface. The hassle and terror of editing the configuration files is a nuisance of the past.
Yeah, okay. I saw that too... I also tried the demo. To be honest, what I saw was a very cluttered and crwded interface with a lot of buttons I probably don't need. Additionally, the demo gave me errors. I can't say I'm impressed yet.
You definitely don't want to use it then. I installed the previous version before it pretty much crashed my blog. This version is stable and seems to work for me.
I haven't seen mention of Static Jack or Safe Includes so I'll add them. These allow you to easily put all kinds of static content into posts and pages. For a non-programmer like me its been a godsend.

Well I've used it for things like including in posts or pages things like this map or this Excel spreadsheet or a calculator. To me "static content" simply means content that (at my skill level) I would have great difficulty adding to a Wordpress post.
Thanks for the explaination. So for your calculator did you upload an excel spreadsheet you made and the plugin automatically changes it to "static content" displayable on your blog?
http://www.neato.co.nz/ultimate-tag-warrior/ Can someone direct me to a blog using this and say exactly how it works. Is it easy to install?
I use it on my blog. You can see my tags cloud and I've turned off all the technorati stuff in favor of internal linking. I've also tied the amazon stuff into it, but that's my own creation. the page for the tags cloud is <?php /* Template Name: Tag Archive */ ?> <?php get_header(); ?> <?php //most popular first //UTW_ShowWeightedTagSet("sizedtagcloud") ' //alphabetical UTW_ShowWeightedTagSetAlphabetical("coloredsizedtagcloud") ?> <?php get_footer(); ?> Code (markup): I found it wasn't straightforward to install but not impossible. I'm not that experienced with plugins and custom pages so that made it harder.
http://wettone.com/code/slimstat whats about syas that guys........??? its provide also the IP-to-Country Database show unique IPs, not just hits, allowes also ignore specified IP address ranges.. and also many more....
Hi I am reviving this thread because I want to use tag clouds in my wordrpess blog. What is the easiest solution for internal tags. I have decided to check out this one http://www.chipstips.com/?tag=phptagcloud if anyone is using it please let me know how it is going. thanks
I use universal tag warrier at itamer.com and it's awesome. Just upgraded from wordpress 1.5 to 2.04, changed over the plugin files and up it all came. No changes needed.
Sarah- i hear ultimate tag warrior can be tougher than most plugins to install. was that your experience?
The first time took ages, it could be better documented and I don't use many features so it was really quite simple. The version for wp2 is more fully featured. It's worth the pain and I've been able to use it for my own amazon module so that's kinda cool
There's a new version of the Smart Update Pinger - see http://ultimateplugins.com/smart-update-pinger/
