I have many blogger blogs with various niche (e.g Christmas, News, thoughts, etc) with Google Page Rank. Since these blogs are available with blogspot.com, I can not sell them. So, I have registered domain names, and planning to move by importing the blogger blogs after installing wordpress blog in my hosting. For example, I am planning to move the xmaschristmas.blogspot.com to TheChristmas.info I have gone thro' lot of articles about this move to make sure that that Page rank is also moved to the new domain. But I didn't get any solid answer about PageRank movement. Anyway, most of the articles are clearly saying that PR transfer is not possible as Blogger won't allow 301 redirect. Is that true? In some articles, it is mentioned that just transferring the domain name alone (while keeping the hosting in blogger itself) will pass the PR to the new domain. And, after that we can move the content. Will this approach work? Since I am planning to do this move for many of my blogger blogs, I am looking for the appropriate ways to do this move without impacting the PR and any other SEO parameter. If PR transfer is not possible, I plan to keep blogger blogs as it is. And, will sell the domain (e.g TheChristmas.Info) alone or develop a brand new website on the new domain while keeping the blogger blog also. Is this plan appropriate?
No that is not true, you can do a 301 redirect to your custom domain. You will get the PR transfered, but I am not sure whether you will be getting the exact PR to your new domain.
@HAMPexpert Thanks for your answer. Can you please give me the URL of the web page which explains the steps useful for doing 301 redirect from blogger?
