Impact of Changing forum signature frequently

    I have been contributing in different forums since last 1 year and i hope my forum posting must have crossed 1000 posts by now. I frequently change my signature between my two blogs:
    http://expertanswer.blogspot.com/
    and http://allbankexam.blogspot.com/

    My concern is when I change my signature, then the sites linking in my blog decreases by 1000. So, how does it impact my blog in terms of SEO, Ranking, etc. Is it bad for my blog. please advice

    if you change your sig then the backlinks of your blogs will also change.. if it count as backlinks..

    Of course it will change your ranking because of 1000 quality backlinks. Because links will be missing when Google will re-crawl pages. Google doesn't saves list of expired links or something like that.

    The links may have a no follow tag on them anyway, but if you chnage you signature then you will lose the backlinks you have created.

    Hi there,

    Obviously, back links means your site is placed in that site from where you are getting the back links say forums as a forums signature, now you are changing your forum signature it means you are removing your link from there so your count of back links should also effected.

    Its not a bad for the blog , but if you change the signature link frequently then it definately affects your linking to the sites . As it contains the previous backlink which is no more now(after changing) so I suggest you not to change the signature frequently

    Hi,
    If you change your signature frequently, the back links of one site will be dropped and the other sites will be increased when google crawls your website resulting in Drop or increase in position your sites.why don't you use two websites in single signature?is there will any issue if we use two sites in single signature

    it's so obvious and as other say in this thread, you lose you backlinks while you change the Sig.

    Thank you all friends. I had been doing this (changing signature) since long time. Thanks all for clarifying me and letting me know the consequences. Hence forth, I wont change the signature.

    Why don't you just link to BOTH sites in your sig... then BOTH get 1000 backlinks.
