How much time does it takes for money to reach your bank account in India if you are using Xoom Service (paying Xoom authorities through Paypal)

Anyone has done such a transaction.

    All help appreciated.

48 hours if the transaction is approved.

Beware - I have read that RBI don't approve Xoom payment in India. They have red eye over it.

The transaction needs to be approved by Xomm authorities or by the RBI?

Its not a case of approval/disapproval.
But Xoom transactions/money in India are not recommended .
So you better call for a paypal check.

    Xoom.

MeetHere, please stop the scaremongering or cite some references to back up your absurd claims. Where does it say that the "RBI has a red eye over xoom"? Xoom is a legitimate money transfer service, if the RBI had a "red eye over them" they wouldn't be allowed to operate in India.

What is not allowed is Intra-India transactions & commercial transactions. This is clearly mentioned in xoom's TOS.

    Thank's for your replies, fellas.
So now I can't get PP funds through Xoon as they do not allow intra-India transfer(I guess intra India transfer means that my PP account is Indian verified and I am trying to get funds into India)
    Right, fellows

Any other exchanger who might just be able to help me out?
(I need it urgently else I usually go for PP checks)
People on DP forum are not giving a good rate(I require atleast 40-41 per dollar)

Thanks for your replies in advance.

Yeps .. that would be against there TOS . Try asking some frnd to exchange the money < if he is willing > else PP check is the best option < though it takes some time >

I am using xoom to receive paypal and credit card payment for almost a year now. Xoom directly deposit the payments I received to my local bank account and it is really convenient and reliable.

However, I need to request my clients to sign-up in xoom so that they can send their payment to me using their paypal.

And I agree, you can request your relatives outside India to sign-up for you. But I think, since your fund will be transferred again, you will be incurring few service charges again.

Can some one point out the "link" to the page/site where I can see the "bank code" that needs to be entered for a Xoom transaction to take place.

    Thanks in advance.
