IMO if people in Muslim countries get better education and have access to other spiritual teachings. They'll come to realize that God is about Love.
And Love means doing good positive deeds. Giving freedom to others, forgiving them when they sin etc...

    I agree
to blame the problems in these countries specially the problem of terrorism on Islam and quran a book written more than a 1000 years ago is a total mistake at best and downright deceptive at worst
the problem is social, cultural, educational and political and it must be treated as such and a solution can be found

so you are telling me that there is a book written over 1000 years ago that teaches millions of people how to do things and there is nothing we can do or say or write that will counter it. there is nothing we can teach. there is noting we can show.there is nothing we can do. do you know of any other book with such effect? can you tell me what you have read in this book that convince you of its power?

Having gone back through the few posts that comprise this thread, I'm quite certain I have not told you anything. I simply asked a question. Apparently one you were not prepared to respond to:

How does one whose already admitted to never having read the quran come to such an automatic conclusion?

Did you avoid answering it for a reason?

I agree. You speak in class?...BOOMmm
    You cheat? Boommm...

    However, you missed few words:
God is about Love FOR OTHER MUSLIMS.
I'm an athee, do they still love me? No, because I'm an infidel. And they know what Qu'ran says to do to infidels...And they don't even know me.
But me, I love them like anybody else. Believing in God, or in AC Milan, or in honey's culture is the same thing for me: very relative!

i just explained the logic of my thought you have to either accept my logic and that it is just a book and the science has a better answer or you think that there is something about this book that we can not overcome and then what is it please share

Actually, you didn't. You made some assumptions and assertions (from where, I have no idea), then proceeded to ask additional questions.

If that is the best sort of answer you can provide to such a simple question, I'll just accept it and move on. I didn't see anything logical in your response or related to the question I posed.

If you are not willing to read the quran, which you've openly admitted you haven't and have no idea what it says, then how can you come to the conclusions in your first post? By guessing?

Why not blame a book that they go to constantly for guidance?

I haven't been introduced to enough of your posts to know who "we" might be to you. There are many people here with widely varying positions they support.

There are plenty of scriptures in the quran to support terrorism. I've posted but a few above. Some people dismiss them, some people reach for moral equivalence, some use denial, some use the "translation card" and yet some use the "out of context" card. Regardless of which flavor of denial is preferred, they are there and are used to justify killing the kuffir (infidels) often.

i think the problem we are having with moslems is not caused by religon but rooted in politics economics education and so on and it can be fixed by empowering the masses of people to stop the fanatics in their religion by promoting democacy in its fullest
i am not scared of no religon it is just a walking stick for the weakminded to obsolve themselves from responsibility of makng desisions empower them and they don't need it no more
but if you think it is religious then i recommend to take jesus love to them not your hate

    i make no uneducated guess
i know that my logic is better than the terrorists leaders
i know very few people follow them
i know that when the masses get a voice they will disapear
an example is how christians evolved from the dark ages
    simple really just takes time
