Immigration Bill Defeated!!!!!!!!!! Maybe this Country Does have a Chance!

Ideal in theory, but many Countries dont consider those children its citizen who werent born in the country itself.
in that case those Children will not be a citizen of any country, while its not their fault.


I totally support USA's (or any country's) effort to get rid over illegal immigration. but if you failed to stop it at the first place you should not punish an innocent child.


Dont let illegal Immigrant women enter your state, even if she is pregnant. but once child is born on the land, you should accept it.

I agree that its a very tough situation; as you are right, the child would probably not be considered residents of the other country either.

The problem is though, is that the system is easy to game. And it happens quite a bit. The 14th amendment to the constitution says that they are citizens of their home country if the parent is illegal, but other acts were written to give them natural born citizenship instead.

An ideal situation, of course. but reality is you cannot stop everyone from entering. our government cannot stop anyone from entering. its inept in this regard, really.

 

And then they give it back to those they stole it from.





Whats bizarre is some people are under the impression this some kind of white against mexican thing. Mexicans and Native Americans were warring over the land long before the Spanish/Europeans arrived.

 

Illegals usually work without overtime too. So the cost is 200%. Plus the production is 100% more compared with what the lazy "citizens on welfare" is producing. so the cost is up 300%. Then the benefits will bring the cost up to 400%. Of course when the cost goes up 400%, the employer has to sell things for 800% margin to make a profit.
As I told earlier, if you take the agricultural subsidies away, then the third world countries will be able to compete with their agricultural produce. They will stop coming to USA illegally.
At burger king and mcdonalds they serve probably 100 customers an hour. At 100% margin, they can recover the cost. But a worker picking orange won't be able to pick enough orange to make a profit over by paying legal wages and benefits and all.

I did not mention any race in my post. I listed some of the common jobs illegals do. If you look closer you will see an "etc." at the end of it. I was not going to list all the occupations they do.

I agree with you on that part. Mexican people are responsible themselves for electing in competent politicians whose sole job is export their cheap labor abroad.
But at the same time you are responsible for it to some extent since you don't vote to elect politicians in US who would remove the huge agricultural subsidies the federal government provides. This takes away the competitive opportunities the 3rd world would have in agriculture field.

Some of them work as nannies too. Do you have one?

Thats funny. But it is possible, if you look at the lack of birth control among most of the immigrants. & if they don't assimilate in to the adopted country's culture it is going to be a problem in the future.

 

I think bangladesh is India's Mexico. They are illiterate, breed like rabbits, target for recruitment by islamic fundamentalists. The situation is so bad, in the north eastern state of Assam, in India, they are majority in 14 districts out of 26. They changed the demographic profile, and you will see them everywhere you care to look, and now they have floated a political party. Many of them have PAN cards, voter id's and other documents.

What I donot understand is they had their land, during partition and chosed to move there and wallow in their muddy pit and excuse of a country called bangladesh, now why are the coming back ? They had their chance of making a glorious nation ruled by islamic law or democracy but made a mess out of it, and now they move out like ants and swarm over india to convert some regions to the same cesspool likeness of their country.

You can't blame a country for setting their own rules -within their borders- to what is legal and what is not. I think US has manipulated demographics throughout the world so much leaving many people with no choice but to illegally immigrate(as if they could legally do it) now it comes to the point where any act on illegal immigrancy seem to be unfair. However -within their borders- it's their right and those who are not from the US has no right to criticize it.

I donot know about Mexican's, but I know about illegal migrants from bangladesh. My take is, if you are migrating to a country for a better life, and if your new country gives you that, by all means love your new country , try to imbibe the culture of that country and be a good citizen.

Lets say, if I migrate out of India (which, I will not do), to another country, I will love my new country just as I love my present one and try to imbibe the culture of my new homeland and be one of them.

Do most illegal migrant do it, I donot think so, they become nostalgic, keep themselves segregated, create trouble, donot mix with the new culture, or learn the language of the land and the very first opportunity try to create a political party or change demography with bringing in more illegals (this is atleast true for bangladeshis, and am seeing it for the last 12 to 15 years).

 

I agree with you on that for the most part.
Do the immigrants have the resources and time to study a new language and all with the limited resources they have. Most of them send a significant amount of money they make back to their native country to support their family. I have seen mexicans who are in US a long time who can't speak any English at all. I am not sure it is the lack of interest on their part or genuine lack of tim,e and resources.

 

Immigrants from Europe tell me all the time latinos are not the best students to be in class with. They don't keep quite, but talk with each other in Spanish. They complained it was hard for them to even hear what the teacher was saying. Many of them were looking for shools with ESL classes with no or few latinos. I don't like talking about this since they may call me racist which I am not.
I have a kid myself and as everyone else here on this board will seriously consider the shool's reputation before sending her.
Children who are not interested in studying are fine with me. But I want my kid when going to shool to do what she is supposed to do - studying.
