I agree blog is the best way to getting good traffic, but this is long way, because when you put hyper links in your blogs then google will take more time to cache your blog. As per my knowledge S-B-M is the best way for getting more & more Traffics.

I've found that facebook advertising can be a lot cheaper than AdWords, I have had some high conversions from facebook. Also Twitter if you have quite a few followers and they are interested in your tweets.
I dont think you can get targeted traffic from twitter and face book. I think we are missing something here. did we consider Classifieds here. Craigslist and usfreeads seems to be an option.
