Immediate traffic Ideas.

I would like to have a discussion about generating Immediate traffic to my website. Let us keep the traffic sites out here. I am talking about website with Google adsense inside.
I have from experience found Yahoo answers a great way to generate traffic. I would like to learn few immediate options to generate traffic

I think the fastest way is PAY!!!!

 

One easy way is posting flyers around your neighborhood libraries, colleges, and grocery stores.

 

You could post articles at a directory or create squidoo lenses.

Be the first to comment on popular blogs. (Or blogs in your niche) Usually the first person who comments (or trackback) get's a lot of traffic from whoever reads that blog entry.

Method 2 is to blog about trending terms. Example, when Google released their new web browser, a blog post about Google Chrome would of giving you a lot of hits. Similar stuff, Michael Jackson's passing... or if a host goes on the Today Show or Oprah...

 

What is the content of your website related to? If it is local in nature, then you can use some of the ideas from the earlier post relating to colleges, stores, etc. If not, then Adwords is the surest way to drive immediate traffic.

 

Yeah, PPC is immediate. But it's not free.

I would have to agree with PPC

PPC can get you traffic in less than 15MINS!!!

But PPC has a big learning curve. So you can end

up losing alot of money.

One of my favorite ways to get traffic right away is by

using SOLO ADS. There very good if you use the right ones.

 

I think social bookmarking sites like Stumble Upon, Digg, Reddit and many other can help you to get immediate traffic if you have really good sites to share with the community out there.

Agree with social bookmarking... sites like Digg, if you could post something news worthy or in line with the latest Buzz, you should be getting a lot of traffic for days, weeks, perhaps even months to your website.

What if I own a blog which tells how to generate money....... do i need to put any tags in there. And how can I bring traffic to them. Does backlinks gives us traffic?? Do they help??

 

Backlinks on high traffic sites does help..
Creating posts on blogs regulary will also help.

 

I agree with social networking sites...Also, the use of big myspace/facebook accounts could also be a viable option for instant traffic.

 

Advertising on facebook would be quite expensive, though, I can imagine.

 

I am seeing a lot of options coming up. But I am looking at creating immediate traffic. For example 20 answers on Yahoo means I will get around 20 uniques a day immediately highly targeted.
I am looking for options like this. Please do not include pay methods. I am impressed with 1st comment on blogs. That surely is an option. But finding a blog with lot of traffic is the difficult part.
