Immediate gratification -- Make $$$ by using this to your advantage

    It's a well known fact that people are impulsive -- they'd prefer a smaller short-term gain over a larger long-term gain almost always (at least most people).

    If you're smart about it, you can use this to your advantage. Many sites, guides, and services advertise their long term gains. These are all fine and dandy ... and often even very smart, but I've noticed that many lack any immediate, short-term payoff.

    I encourage you to look at your site, guide, or service and try to think of ways that you can show off any immediate gain. Sometimes you can even compete with larger and better sites by offering better short-term gains, even if they are smaller.

    This doesn't mean that you should take all of the focus away from long term benefits -- it just means that you should think about short term benefits that they can see right here, right now.

    You might even discover a whole new batch of people responding to your new focus, which could mean many more sales for you.
