There is an unusual situation with me my boss wants traffic to his site. He does not need ranking for now. My site's ranking is increasing day by day, but he is not pleased with that. He needs traffic. So, my question is: Is there any website which provides free web traffic? I know it’s useless but my boss needs traffic. I found few such websites but I don't know how to use them. You first research on the keywords. Traffic doesn't come overnight. Try to get those keywords which have more search volume and low competition. The more people seek on the keyword related to your busines, the more likely you get the traffic. Post comments on blogs, post in do-follow forums etc.
I Think if you capable for increasing ranking then my suggestion is this you can ranked your site in top 3 in Google, i think your traffic also increased, one more think for traffic do more SMO, Blogging, Forum posting it's give you direct traffic.....
Do SEO work will gain traffic. But for quick traffic advertise on good sites, tell ur boss to pay and do advertise at least 10 sites, ur site will jump

Try Free classifieds. it will definitely bring traffic. but for organic traffic, for a permanent traffic you have to do regular SEO practices
