I don't use the site much but wanted to post a photo to reddit and everytime I've tried to access the site in the last few hours it's been down. Now, being too successful is a problem we'd all love to have but I'd have thought a site like that would have it's load balancing sorted out long ago.

    Does this happen often?

The volume of attacks (albeit non-malicious) is growing relentlessly. AI companies, eager to harvest data, are deploying countless crawlers to scrape content from every accessible service. I've never witnessed anything like this. Some attackers use a new IP address only once. Their user agent mimics a legitimate browser, leaving no identifiable patterns to block an attack. You're left hoping they eventually stop.
