ImageUploader Site for Sale, $50/month average, 1000+ Uniques a day!

Hi there everyone, I bought this site on DP a few months ago and am considering selling it. I have some other priorities and sites I'd like to take care of. This site works great and I have done absolutely NO promotion of it what so ever. If you put some time into promoting it, I'd be willing to bet you could see a large increase in revenue.

It's runs the standard image-uploader script that's seen everywhere around the net for free. After I bought this site originally I bought a resell license from the (ha!) original script creator... well you know how it goes... but it did make me feel better, and gave me a clean copy to play with.

The site REALLY needs a redesign, I had one made, and I like it... but I haven't found anyone to code it for me. I think if it looked better, you'd have even more business.

The admin side of the site is broken, fixable, but not currently working. You don't need it anyhow as you can just login to the DB and change anything you need to change... or pay a freelancer $30 to fix it, I can assist in finding one.

Here's the Deal:

• The Site: http://www.youruploader.com
• The Revenue: Average of $50 per month since Jan. 1 and stable.
• The Traffic: Over 1,000 uniques a day, mostly direct
• The Images: 159,072 pictures uploaded and 1,496 registered users
• The Diskspace Used: 36,511 MB
• The Bandwidth Monthly: 492,256 MB in March
• Current Hosting Setup: Currently on Bluehost Standard Plan, with half the traffic being diverted to a 2nd account at Globat. Ideally you'll stick this on a dedi with plenty of space. It would really scream then.
• Future Hosting: You can acquire my hosting accounts for however many months are left at cost (about 6 months remaining at both I believe, maybe 9). If you do that you can keep any other domains and sites in the accounts, one good one would be www.pimpmyupload.com which I let die off, but used to be a $2 a day file hosting service, still operational and looks AWESOME.

If you don't want to acquire my current hosting for the site I'll give you 1-month to move them off the accounts, that should be plenty of time to move wherever you need. My Bluehost account has SSH access so moving the site would be easy if the future server also has SSH access.

The site runs itself, no promotion on my end.. wel OK, I stumbled it once, but don't get very much traffic from them. It has to be mostly word of mouth, I bet running some Facebook ads to the college crowd would work pretty well though, and only $5/10,000 impressions

If I want to pick up your hosting account, how much is hosting per month?

 

bluehost is $6.95 a month, globat, which if you have the means you could pick up as well is I think $5 or $6 a month.

I'll give you a deal though, I'll give you both accounts for $90, both have 9-10 months left on them.

it is indeed! I bought pimpmyupload from Pixeldawn a couple months ago.. but alas I just haven't promoted it very well... It does bring in minimal revenue but I haven't had time to support it!

 

I've gotten a few PMs with questions so here's some more info:

-I'll let the auction run at least a couple of days, probably end Saturday night.

-The script handles the load-balancing between the two accounts, so you don't have to do anything special. And you can add a new account or server any time, or disable a server/account whenever you want.

- $100 is the current high bid. I have a BIN offer via PM for $200 which I won't be taking.

thanks for the bid of $250 Artigas, I'll let this auction run until Saturday night. I am surprised there isn't more action on this one. It's not very often that you see a a pretty darn decent image upload site coming through making money, and this ones gets a lot of traffic.

If you have a CPM program to enroll it in, the monetization would be much greater btw.

 

Indeed citruscommerce, your image hosting is probably one of the largest I came across. Hopefully you find a buyer with a higher bid. I too myself trying to sell an image hosting but it doesn't compare to yours.

That's OK, i posted adsense screenshots in the thread already, if you need something else let me know and I'll grab it for you.

bluehost has a little over 10 months left, it's a $6.95/month account. they allow up to 5 domains on one account.

Globat has 9 months remaining on a $7/month account. They offer up to 10 domains on one account.

If you don't want those shared accounts you're welcome not to take them for the discount but you also don't get the freebie domains and sites already on them.

If you've got a dedicated server with some space to spare youruploader.com would be just fine. You could probably honestly only use one shared hosting account as long as it was with a reliable provider. When I purchased both accounts, I had planned on using some other sites as well, just things that I didn't want sitting on my other boxes.

I've either abondoned those sites/projects on the accounts or just don't want to mess with them anymore, I've got enough on my plate right now!

I do have a $400 offer via PM for a BIN that I am considering, but nothing has been accepted yet.

I really would like see at least $500 come out of this site, that'd be only about 9-10 months of revenue, with you not doing any promotion at all!

If I had the time I'd do some social bookmarking and some advertising, maybe buy a couple links somewhere in high traffic spots and double what it's making.

With a better design (which I have one made, it's just not coded, auction winner can have those files too) I'm sure more people would use the service.
