Last month or so, I posted a question about images on other sites bringing me traffic, by me merely linking to them. Because the stats often show that the search query page listed my site's page as the original context of the image. Which in one way sounds misleading to a searcher, but I don't mind. It probably should say the original context of the image "link". Anyhow, I started searching for some of the best and more relevant images related to my content. Images and sites that would be complimentary. Within the page I was testing this on, I added a half dozen links to individual images of other websites or photographer albums. The increase in traffic is very noticeable. This is the second best thing that has helped lately. I'm not very brilliant with website stuff, but still surprised I never noticed this kind of thing a couple of years ago.
Images are a big source of traffic for one of my sites. I name the image according to a keyword and I get lots of visits via Google images searches. I've started creating more images with relevant names to get more visitors.
