www.yotophoto.com will give you a lot of Creative Commons photos - many are totally without restriction but some require attribution etc so make sure you check!
A lot of the images on flickr are copyright free i believe. At everystockphoto.com you can search and it will return results from flickr, sxc.hu and a few other places. Many images in wikipedia are free to use too.
