Images on my blog are still no indexed by Google Images

    One of my blogs has almoust 6 months old and Google Images still not indexed my images. I have lots of images , but Google Images did not indexed...
    It happened at the end of the month to index some images, but now they have dissapeared. This happened also 2 months ago.
    I'm sure everything is ok with my blog and images are SEO optimized, but can you tell me if Google Images needs so much time to index images?

    Thank you

    You have done everything good with keywords in filename, and Alt text.

    However...

    I would remove from your robots.txt

    and

    You don't have to tell robots "to" go places as they will anyway, you only need to tell them "not" to go places. Bad formatting can have bad effects.

    Also in your Meta:

    Any reason why you have Noarchive?

    Also i'd remove everything except your noodp tag, same as above you don't need to tell robots to index and follow your site they will anyway.. Your just expanding your code to content ratio and complicating things.

    I don't think it's been mentioned here yet, but it seems the Google Images index is updated much less frequently than the text index. If you Google (heh) "Google Images Update" you will see some threads about this...

    No problems, yeah i really don't feel comfortable with how you had your Robots.txt and Meta configured.

    <Shameless self promotion>

    I wrote up How to Optimize for Google Images which may be of use. It also discusses duplicate content with images (yes really) which i havn't seen talked about by any other SEO and i doubt many people are aware of.
