Images not loading

    I've been using Apache for over 2 years on my Windows XP machine to test/develop my sites before i put them live.
    Now i'm having a problem loading images. The don't load at all or only partialy. Pressing refresh a few times sometimes displays the image.
    I don't have a problem with small images. (<50k)
    I have tested a few of my older sites that used to work fine and they don't work either.
    I'm having the same effect with IE, Firefox and Opera so i think it has something to do with Apache config.

    My Apache is version 2.0.54
    I have been reading FAQ's and forums to find a solution but no result.

    Any help will be greately appreciated

    I guess that rules out the network. If you know how to monitor network traffic, run the browser on another machine and see if it behaves the same way. Then take a look at the traffic and see if the Apache cuts HTTP connections short. If not, then most likely there's something wrong with your browser setup. Even if you don't know to monitor networks, do this test and see if it changes anything (using a different kind of OS/browser will be even a better test). If everything works fine in this setup, chances are that your browser resets connections (it's hard to tell without the traffic sniffer, though).

    Hi,

    I'm having a somewhat similar problem in which images refuse to load. I moved to a new machine (running Ubuntu 9.10) and installed Apache, and none of the images on either of my virtual hosts would display. After restarting Apache and the machine several times, it seems to have "recovered" somewhat -- all of the images on one virtual host display, and it seems that images on the other virtual host are randomly chosen to be displayed (not always the same ones). When I try to view the images that did not load, Firefox says that the server reset the connection.

    Unlike Demodirk, images will not necessarily load if they are small. Yes, I have tried browsing on my server and off of it, and it behaves no differently.

    Help? Please?
