images are allowed as long as the images are not related to the ads being displayed.

Are those bullets images? Because if so then Google's policy applies. They said images next to ads without being specific about what is shown in the images. That said, it is obvious that the bullets are there to trick people into clicking the ads which is against Google's TOS so I very much doubt that this tactic will be ok with Google.

Even though that wont come under images next to ads but it is clearly drawing unwanted attention to ads and they can bust you under that unfortunately. Its just my thought or atleast if i was google employee checking that i would warn or ban for sure because to me its clearly drawing unwanted attention

This is against TOS. You are still putting images (bullets, whatever you want to call it) next to the ads. Google doesn't like that.

    From Google's amended policy:

Can I place small images next to my Google ads?
We ask that publishers not line up images and ads in a way that suggests a relationship between the images and the ads.

Those are images. If you right-click on them, it says "save image as". I realize that isn't your site but those are images.

But anyway, the best thing to do is email Google. However, sometimes they say it's okay and a week later they say it's not okay.

Who know's anymore. I just don't do it so as to not worry about it.

Can I place small images next to my Google ads?
We ask that publishers not line up images and ads in a way that suggests a relationship between the images and the ads.

Read the bold lines again, it quotes, 'there should not be any relationship with the images and the ads', so what is the relationship between those bullets and the ads ??

What's the new policy explains ?
Images gives unwanted confusion to the users thinks that the images related to the ads, so that the clicks will be generated artificially, so in my view using bullets or lines wont give any related ads between images and ads. Do you people agree ? In the other hands, that increase the CTR to both publishers and the advertisers.

With this new policy still more confusion is there like what kind of images can be used, I emailed google with my site url before when the new policy under action and I talkled about on this thread.. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=202659

So, it depends upon the sites, the best way to survive with the new policy is to email google with your website and confirm with them

Well, I look at the word "relationship" as generic. If there are 3 bullets right next to 3 Ads, that's a relationship.

Then there's the other meaning of the word "relationship" which most people think Google is talking about and I agree also. A picture of a computer next to a computer Ad.
