What is "near" though? When does one consider it, near the ad? I think near is pretty vague, there should be a set distance...
I finally got this issue resolved with the YPN relevance dept. I brought my site in compliance by moving the images farther away from the YPN ads and placing a line between the images and the ads. So it seems as long as the images are not very close to the ypn ads and there is a line it is ok... The relevance dept gave me the ok in an email: ```````````````````````````````````````````` Hi xxxxx, ... I reviewed the page http://www.mysite.com/ and it is now in compliance. Currently, http://www.mysite.com/ is compliant and your account will not be suspended. Thank you for your quick response to these issues. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX Relevance Analyst Yahoo! Search Marketing 3333 Empire Avenue Burbank, CA 91504 USA ````````````````````````````` At least YPN communicates with you and tells you what is wrong! Adsense never did that when I used them.
Anyone remember the tool someone had posted which searches images using google and yahoo API and create a 4 image banner for us.. I remember reading it in YPN forum.
You must be talking about Shoemoney's tool, which can be found here: http://www.shoemoney.com/2006/06/29/contextual-ads-image-tool/
Thats what i thought. I think the confusion is generated because adsense still allows it, providing you maintain that border. This is a topic that comes up time and time again on forums.
