Hello, i searched for this but i couldn't find anything useful, what can i say i suck at searching. I'm interested to know where do you find images that you use in your design, like a girl that smiles on a sale site or server for hosting design and so on. From where do you buy it, what kind of rights do we have to take into consideration when using such images in a template that we intend to sell?

    Hi

There are lots of stock photo sites, I use www.dreamstime.com and bigstockphoto.com, but if you search stock photos you will find plenty more.

You'd be buying a licence to do ... something with the image. Check what that licence says about reselling. You want "royalty free stock photos".

i'm looking at dreamstime.com and i'm trying to figure out what i'm allowed to do with images that are in the free section, if i understood their TOS correctly i can't use images from there in website templates that i intend to sell:

I guess i'll have buy images, this is free, just not the way i thought it was....

There are a lot of options to find good images for your design and websites when you take a paid subscription for any of the well recommended stock photo website.
Give a try to Google image search. But be sure to check whether that image comes with any copyright or legal statement with it :).

Try Flickr if it's for a non commercial use - make sure you choose a creative commons license.

I use Istockphoto mostly, and also sometimes I use images from StockXchng. Envato is launching a stock photo site and I will most likely be using it quite a lot since I really like the envato network

Istock and dreams time. You have to pay for the better photos, but I have to say, for a couple of dollars, the difference is significant.

Design and development is the prime activity of all the web designing companies. The thing kept in mind should be the image of the client and services offered by him to the world.
