Looking for what type of images ? Stock images ? www.sxc.hu best site for stock images ive seen. and www.getty-images.com for all type of images.
It means photos/image that people take/create and don't claim it as their own. So there's no copyright, and ANYONE can use it, without saying it's a rip. when I say anyone can use it, I don't mean they can copyright the ACTUAL photo, but modify it and use it.
Be careful with the photos in those collections, the Getty ones require a paid license to use, and many of the sxc photos require the photographers permission. For a list of public domain photos, which are free to use for any purpose with no restrictions, check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain_image_resources
Stock photos are definetaly copyrighted by the photographers and even if they are free of charge there are always restrictions on their use. Be sure to read the TOS of diferent stock sites. The two best free stock sites that are offering free stock photos are. www.sxc.hu www.morguefile.com
