I have a question ... we all known that ALT/TITLE tags are matter for search engines... now my problem is :

Are search engines also looking if you got relevant images or even relavant downloand-ables files in your pages?! Relevant pages = more aquaracy for the document... relevant downloands = more aquacray ...
So is it VITAL to have images/downloand with alt/title tags related to your main keywords?!

Does the image size (width/height) also influnce your SERPs for the keywords in the ALT/TITLE?!

I'll take a stab at it, but this is only speculation, of course...

Although alt text seemed to be at one point a very important factor according to many, I think it must've been devalued (at least somewhat) by now.

    Here are some suggested reasons:

    1. Alt text can be easily manipulated, and therefore abused...
    2. Some content just does not require images, should this content be penalized?
    3. Headings have always carried more weight than images anyway (as they probably should).
    4. Alternate text was originally meant to be included ONLY when necessary to the content, such as when the content could not otherwise be understood in the absence of an image. So before we knew to stuff alt tags with keywords, it may have been a better indication as to a page's content.
