Hello everyone, I have a question regarding stock images. Are they editable? Can I purchase the rights to a stock photo and edit it into a website banner? Also, I assume no one here looks up images on Google and they simply add them to their site right? Please discuss, thank you.
When you buy an Image from a stock image platform you get the right to use it however you please (except reselling it). Taking images from Google image search can get you sued. Except you use public domain images or copyleft images. Well, I bet many stock image sites have terms of service. Just ask them what you can and can't do with a purchased image.
As long as I don't attempt to copyright my website banner I can use stock photography right? Have you ever made a banner with stock photography?
No way, check the TOS very carefully or you may have a huge bill on a legal letter sent to you. Always best to err on the side of caution.
What experience? You see a picture you like You buy the rights to use it You use it for your banner As long as you read the TOS and use the images accordingly (and PAY for them) there should be no problem. Make sure that you keep the confirmation ready .
