Images and AdSense... no border required!

Well I have spent the last 3 days emailing Google back and forth asking about the whole images near AdSense ads deal... so many people insisted that you MUST have a border around your AdSense in order to not violate Google's TOS. Well I now have an email from Google stating that a simple line <HR> tag is good enough and is in compliance. I was told that should that policy change, notification will be emailed to change the site... so all is good..

You are miss-reading it serg... Google have always said there should be a visible border between images and ads. this could be using the ad border colour OR putting a line between the images and the ads OR putting a reasonable gap.

Hey Critters, it was your post that got me to add the images.. Good tip, it works great!!

I am not misreading it.. I just wanted to post this, as there is this constant debate/missinformation on the subject.. Many people seem to think that you NEED to have a border around the AdSense ad..

An HR is no different from a border IMO. Wether it's a border from the Adsense code or your own border, a border is a border...so technically a border is required.
