Hello DP, I am the owner of a Image hosting website, and have tried various ways of advertising such as posting on forums and adwords, however I only seem to maintain 25 - 40 uniques visitors per day. Got any tips for marketing a quick image uploader? I believe my uploader is quicker and less hassle then the big names such as imageshack and photobucket, but I don't get very many visitors. How can I market this website for free?
1) Post new photos and articles on Digg.com 2) Viral-market in social sites such as Myspace and Facebook 3) Spread word of mouth advertising to as many people and communities as you can 4) Update content on your image hosting site every day and submit the new content and updates to Digg.com and other sites (new only, no duplicates) 5) Have all your friends help you repeat the previous steps.
Yep, good points from Zaccaria. Hmm, perhaps you could consider having just one browse field - and making sure that user knows what to do. In the beginning, you could also consider not having any ads on that page (and add them later when your site gets bit more popuplar).
