If advertising on a CPM basis do image ads offer high CTR's that text ads, and hence better value for money

you mean you get charged more because your ads are image ads. I was under the impression text ads on a CPM basis took the whole ad spot hence cost the same

My photoshop is ok so shouldn't be a problem, on another note though in you opinion can CPC cost less than CPM

image ads are good because you can pass a msg across in a relatively cheap way. Its great if you are launching a new website or service, in ither words is great for brand awareness. The problem is that you might not see the results immediately.

Also people tend to click more on the images ads.

    I would go for imageads.
The advantage is not only a higher click rate but you can show people within a second where your site is about. The users that click are interested in your site ;)

Image ads can have a higher click ratio if you know how to do it. Try putting little icons and text links that are relevant to your landing page.

FYI, you cannt make text link ads similar to Google's system. It is against TOS. So I usally make some kind of text links ads and images and it usally passes review.
