Hello. On the AdSense website, it says that you must opt into image ads in order for the video ads to appear. So if I opt for text AND image ads, will they show up? Can someone please clarify? Thanks.
Yeah they aren't showing up for me when I have image/text ads enabled. I don't have that option to select video ads when I set up the code.
erm. I don't think there is an option to select video ads... it only says that you must choose image ads for them to appear... but i wanted to know if image/text will enable video ads. well, never mind, i just e-mailed google so.
Yes, if you opt in to the images/text and you have the right ad box (large square, I believe), theoretically video ads could appear on your site. It all depends on if there have been any video ads in your subject area made.
Yes, I'm sure. I don't remember off hand what the other two supported video ad formats are, but I know that the large square is one of them. If you enable image ads by opting in to text and image ads, you could see them.
that is correct, guys. To get video ads, you need to: - opt into text AND image ads - display ads using one of the supported formats for video ads (more info in the google adsense help pages) And as has been mentioned, there will have to be image ads available for your context before the image ads show up, right? You cant expect google to manufacture a video ad from out of nowhere, can you? Speaking from somebody who has seen a video ad appear already just by doing (1) and (2) (and nothing else) in the list above,
I got one video ad once - I should have took a screen shot. It looks very 'clickable', visually it looks similar to google video.
