Image size increase on upload

    An image which is 50 KB which is optimized and compressed on upload to the server its size gets almost doubled.

    Do any of you faced this problem?

    The thread below says we need to do tweak the server settings.

    Any directions on this will be highly appreciated.

    You might be answering your own question.

    If an optimized and compressed image uploaded to the server doubles its size, the server might not allow compressed images and it's just uncompressing the file.

    ya the problem may be with ur server ... change the settings !
