As everyone knows, you can enter a text string and search for images that fit that description. When will it be possible to search for a specific image? For example, if I have a logo made for my site and I want to see if anyone has copied it and put it on their site, I would be able to search for that image, and the results would be all sites with that image displayed. Pretty nice eh?
No. There you are search for an image NAME. What if someone is using the image you're searching for, except under a different name? Let's say you have a picture of yourself. Then, via a form, you send that actual image as the search query. Then the search results are a list of websites that have that image on them.
You mean recognition of pixel coordinates/hue/saturation/resolution etc? I doubt that would be possible. Not algorithmically anyway.
Yes that is what i mean. I know that it may not be feasable right now. But still, how awesome would that be? And, we all know that one day it will happen. But when?
it will be a nice feature for google image search but you can search the details that you mention at g image search
That would be a cool feature. But I also have to agree that there would be only a select few people who would use it.
http://www.like.com/ already does this to an extent. They perform image searches of products, they apparently have plans to expand it to generic images, but the technology is still pretty cool.
If they would do that, if they would come up with that that would be so deadly for many people...we need to leave some space for those cheaters as well..you cant just simply crush their world..
