Im having a difficult time attempting to take a screen shot, resizing it smaller without totalling distorting the image.

How do I go about doing this? Any suggestion/advice?

It's not quite clear what you mean by "distorting the image" but for one make sure that the widht X height proportions stay the same.

Ok, I've attached a screen shot of this thread...How do I take that photo and basically make it thumbnail size without afftecting the quality of the image itself (distorting it)?

I resized it to 120 x 57 px. This was a 30 sec job and the image could still be improved with some more work. Of course as a thumbnail you won't be able to read the text anymore ;)

Why dont you take the screen shot and then use a Image Resizer software to make it smaller ? A good one thats free is VSO image resizer. I love that program. It also install a menu link when you click a photo with your right mouse button.

Use Microsoft Office Picture Manager for resizing jobs quickly. Else use one of those many online image resizers!
