Should I be naming my images with keywords in them? I'm not talking about the ALTS I'm talking about the actual image...
I would name the images after the keyword, not sure if this matters with other search engines but I do know that google can read image files.
ive thought that it helps with google images, but not sure if it helps with normal google. anybody know?
the image file name surely counts, check the google serps for a specific image keyword and see that the filename is bold if it contains the keyword.. so it counts... but the most important factor is the image context, place it in a good context and you'll gave great results
Honestly, I'm not sure if it actually helps. But with SEO, it's better safe than sorry, so I would go for it anyways
Images names can be useful if you intend putting them for Yahoo image searchers. If you don't like, just put them in a folder and alter the robots file to deindex them. They have a small part in SEO as well, putting the keywords as image names.
Yes, image names make a difference. According to the article Five SEO Tips To Improve Your Search Engine Ranking, search engines don't read pictures therefore you should make sure your key search terms are written out in text.
Agreed, no telling how much they help, different for each engine. But it would be worth it. You should be able to use a simple "drop rename" app depending on your OS. Good luck!
i had exp about this , first u search in google images your keyword then note names of top images and see u dont name same for your images.
