Image links or text links

I have been working on my website for quite some time now. I find it rather simple and better to reduce navigation and include images to text links in my site. What would happen if I utilize the text links and add rollover with the use of CSS? Is there someone here who had tried this? I greatly need somehow who knows about this certain scenario. Do you know of any site where I can view the answer to my query? Can anybody suggest me what to do? Your inputs are relevant to me and it would be greatly appreciated.

Certainly, text link are more beneficial.. they are easy to share and discover.

On the other hand, you use image links in a very good way. Images have more persuasive impact on your visitors. Images easily get viral and helps in link baiting.

So, why not to try with a blend of both?

Internal links help in every sense. Just make sure you are passing the right level of juice to the inner pages and losing on the homepage.

Well, sometimes when I want fancy navigation buttons, I just use images with ALT tags in navigation and then double the text links to the most important internal pages in the footer.

Emh, can you elaborate? Submit to where???? :)

I Think Both Text Links and Images based Links has its own importance.. But for Batter Rankings you have to rely on Text based links because Search engines prefers that links..

Internal text links helps SEO. You should use text links if possible. Image links will not give any SEO benefit.

I vote for text links because image=banner and there is always a group of people who hate clicking banners. So if both kinds are good for SEo, your next choice should be better conversion which is in the side of text links.

Both are of value what you need to be aware of is how you create your image link, make sure you add alt desc's to them to see the most benefit.

i am also for textlink because only with textlink , you can write your target keywords, you can't do it with an image.
