Dear All, I have a website with photo gallery being only a small part of it. Surprisingly 95% of my page impressions are only from the photo gallaries. So people are only interested in photo gallaries. I get a very low CTR from these gallaries probably because people see lot of photos but click very few ads. Is this normal CTR for photo gallaries? I mean a CTR of under 1%! Can anyone having photo gallaries please share their experiences and tips? thanks in advance, Prasad..
Yes, it is normal to get a low CTR from photo galleries. People go to see the image and leave, or click on the "next" link to see the next image. This accounts for your high impressions. Use CPM banners to take advantage of the impressions.
thank you. It means I neednot worry much about it. Rather I should work on building other interesting stuff around the site. Thanks again. prasad..
Get the codes from this page and incorporate images above or next to your ads. that increases CTR if viewers think the image leads to another picture in your Gallery.
Any suggestions for a good CPM Banner company? I did a quick google search and it turned up quit a few options. Thanks
The image section of one of my sites earns better ctr then the rest of the site. Placement and blending I have found works well. I'm not sure how you have the image page set up so I can't really give you any advice.
I take that back. It can also lead to smartpricing as the clicks don't convert if the user clicks the back button. I don't want to make my visitors frustrated.
I had exactly the same problem with my male celebs gallery website. This time the photo gallery are the biggest part of the site and it's quite hard to integrate the text ads into the content. It got quite a lot of impressions but the CTR is very very low.
