I am trying to install image gallery 2 script and some error appears while installation. plz have a look in screenshot: Plz help me in detail how to solve these errors step by step
The errors are self explanatory, installed the missing components/extensions and do what the error messages are saying e.g. php.ini and httpd.conf changes. Avoid attaching bmp images, they are too heavy to download.
ok thanks for the suggestion. but i don't know how to change these files becoz i can't find php.ini and httpd.conf files, and when i change .htaccess file my whole blog was showing 500 error so i remove that code
What type of site are you planning to use gallery 2 for? My site http://www.unmotivating.com uses Gallery 2 and it kills my vps with a 1 gig of ram. Gallery 2 is nice and has alot of features but its really bloated as well. I suggest if you don't need all those functions try something more simple. I know this doesn't really help you with your installation now but its a PITA later when it starts bringing down your hosting every other day. I've been trying numerous methods to reduce load but I'm just going to switch it up to another simple gallery script.
All the errors are optional. You can proceed with install. Unless you contact your host to fix some of these you can't do a thing. You can get a new host and that's about it. For the jhead you can actually just upload the binary and point the install toward it.
i want to use gallery2 for adding desktop wallpapers and why i select G2 is i will embed it in wp gallery2 plugin in my blog. My site is in my location. yes i contacted them and they are saying they can not enable these options due to security reasons. i am not getting
