i have a site that have contains an image hosted from other domains. when i check my site backlinks with yahoo site explorer, that other domain where the image hosted is count as backlink. even the image doesn't linking anywhere. is there any effect with linking building process ? are that domain count as backlinks ?
i am surprised that you din't know this. image backlinks are an essential part of back-linking. normally it has two times the positive effect on seo to text bac-links. ^_^
