    Hello,

Is it still wise to keep image file names under 31 characters?

    Thanks

That depends on how much trouble it is to type them. All modern file systems and even Win95+ handle file names up to 255 characters. DOS does have an algorithm to shorten long file names to the 8+3 format.

    cheers,
