So as we all probably know by now Placing images by our adsense ads can and will increase our CTR. But has anyone put to much to thought what images they use? Usually we think to use a images relevant to the ad! But this is so exspected! So i am doing a little test on my site right here http://www.banra.com - I had a normal CTR of around 1 which is ok for a forum. The pictures i used related to my content - music - i just put up some new pictures of really ugly things, why? i dont know why i see ugly stuff i want to click it and find out more about it! I will keep you up to date on if this increased CTR. :p

Do you know that placing image near the ads is againts the Adsense TOS???
Put a border between the image and ads, so it won't againts the TOS :)

I did something like that, but instead, i put a picture that looks pixilated, and if the viewer would like to see what it is, they click on the link.. works great for me, and its my 1st week.. well 8days in!!!

ebrawl, maybe you should read the forums a tad more. You are allowed to place images next to ads but there has to be a clear border between the ad and the image...

    Hi,

I have just checked your site, and the photos are sure interesting.

May I suggest spacing the images, so that they are above the each text block? I think the image may correlate more with the text ads underneath.

    What do you think?

For my male celebrities site I just put some random male celebrity or random actors not related to the content but is quite generic beside my content ads. It helps to fill the gaps nicely the same time.
