Image Creation and Editing

    My favorite is Paint.net, which was created by some students in a Microsoft-sponsored school program. Its free including all the effects that you can download.

    GiMP might be next best.

    Photoshop is king there. Also you can use GIMP.

    I use Gimp as it's free and you can edit photoshop created images with it, also there are a lot of addons

    GIMP is great but doesn't have the support community like Adobe Photoshop.

    I always use Adobe Photoshop, photoscape is great for small corrections :D
