Image and Video Extraction - How to do it?

    I've seen sites such as Google Images and Altavista where you can view thumbnails of images/videos online. How did they do this? Of course I will need to code something, but does anyone know of any good software that is out there that can do it already?

    Hi liwei, the only thing I can think of that may be of some help is Dreamweaver's Commands>create web photo album - you'd have to screengrab all your vids to start with and then modify the result of this operation. There *must* be a better way but I don't have that knowledge HTH
