I've got an interesting Q that I hope you DP members can help out with. Do you still gain the Google SEO benefits from Alt Image Text if you disallow the Google Image bot?
if I would be willing to be stupid enough to disallow google on any image or NOT use alt text, then i would loose THOUSANDS of $ PER months in adsense revenue !!!!! that is more than most earn all together per year ..... disallowing ANY google bot on any but admin sections of your site always costs you $$$ hence disallowing G bots always means reducing traffic and thus reducing adsense $ any image at google always shows my adsense and the original page and brings generic traffic there are single images at google that bring me since many months every single day many hundred unique visitors PER DAY if you are ready for serious traffic and perform yourself accordingly - even with OWN dedicated servers when needed - then you need to fully open your mind set and allow any generic traffic from all across the planet unless you are a really rich guy and have NO adsense and nothing to offer on your site that needs full promotion
