I would like to try out some image ads and I'm not sure how to specify on which sites I want them to show? I have found a couple of sites with AdSense so I want to place my image ads only on those sites. If I do this, then do I need to enter any keywords since I'm basically saying which sites should display my ads and I don't need search keywords?
Ok, thank you for the information. I thought I could say which sites would display my ads. Why does Google not allow this? Now, I'm disappointed.
Well, the sites where I want to place my ads charge close to $200 a month. Also, most of them do not have any tracking. I thought that going through AdWords would be cheaper for me in the end and give me better sense of who is visiting my site.
that is not true-its definetly possible to target a specific site within the content network(where you can use the image ads). Content has two types of targeting-keywords and site targeting.
Yes, you're right. I found under Networks tab where to add managed placements where I can specify which sites to show my image ads. Cool.
I guess we never stop learning. I noticed the image ads take longer to get approved. I've waited for 4 hours and they're still not approved.
Lol..its been 2 months for me since they have been approved.. I am laughing to reduce my pain a little bit..Unless you are paying a lot of money every month to adwords, you will need a lot of luck to get your image ads approved in quick time. Google treats small advertisers like mud.
What, you waited 2 months to get them approved? I waited 1 day and they have not yet been approved. I will probably send them an email and keep bugging them until they approve my ads. I don't want to wait 2 months, that is just ridiculous.
