I see alot of people on here writing about how everyone should use image ads because they are much more effective than just text ads. I'm here to tell you that I have come up with a very obvious conclusion to why image ads work for some of us and not all. I run a tattoo site that features pictures of tattoo designs so it stands to reason that if I were to show image ads they would be kinda competing with my actual images on my site. So naturally I thought I would use text ads and they work great. So my advice would be anyone who has a website who's content is more or less just all text should think about using image ads only. And websites that already have pics on it should think about using text ads only..... Now a website with say 50/50 text and images should do well with rotating text and image ads....
Well, it depends on the niche I'd say. Some niches have really bad CPC and they depend on the usually image CPM ads. Gaming niche would be one example. Text ads have way more advantages because they are usually more relevant and thus give you higher CPC. Putting a Text ad next to an image ad is what you should do. As that attracts attention to the image ad and then subconsciously to the nearby text ad which is super relevant.
